On April 11th, 2019, Emily Cook presented research at USU's Student Research Symposium. Her research was selected from a competitive pool of student applicants, and highlighted work being conducted in the USU Families in Sport Lab.

On March 3rd, 2018 Dr. Travis Dorsch presented at TEDx PurdueU in West Lafayette, Indiana. His talk, titled Sport and the Commodification of America’s Youth can be viewed HERE

NCAA Delegates Convention

On January 19th, 2017 Dr. Travis Dorsch presented research to delegates at the NCAA Convention in Nashville, TN. The research was aimed at understanding the impact of parent involvement in the lives of NCAA student-athletes. From this work, Dr. Dorsch and his colleagues created an integrated, online education module for parents of incoming NCAA student-athletes.

USU Sunrise Session

On August 26th, 2016, Dr. Travis Dorsch was the featured presenter at Utah State University's Fall 2016 Sunrise Session in Salt Lake City. He presented a talk titled, Youth sports in America: Money, expectations, and the road to nowhere.

Research on Capitol Hill - Washington DC

On April 18th, 2016, Erica Hawvermale took part in the Council on Undergraduate Research Posters on the Hill event in Washington, DC. She presented work conducted in the USU Families in Sport Lab titled, Preparing Our Students: Importance of High School Extracurricular Activities.
